Alliance & Leicester Business Card

If you own a business then you know the importance of keeping your business and personal expenses separate.  Most individuals who have their own businesses find it is better to have a credit card for their business expenses along with a separate checking account.  There are several benefits to having a business card and in this article we are going to review one of the options you have in business credit cards.  Alliance and Leicester offers one of the better business cards on the market at the moment.

The first thing you need to know about the Alliance and Leicester business credit card is the interest rate.  With this card you will have a 15.9 percent interest rate on purchases.  This interest rate is variable and competitive with the market rate at the moment.  Alliance and Leicester also offer an introductory period to make your transition to this card a little easier.  They offer zero percent interest on credit card purchases for five months.  When you compare this introductory rate to other credit card offers, you will find that most business cards don’t offer a purchase introductory rate.

For the first year you have this card there is not a membership fee.  After the first year there is an annual fee of 50 pounds charged to your card on the anniversary of obtaining the card.  This annual fee will vary with other business credit cards.  In fact many of the other business cards have tried to get rid of the annual fee to obtain more customers.

There are a few perks to having the Alliance and Leicester business credit card.  You have the option of free annual travel insurance, free online account management, and you are able to get multiple cards with the account.  You can also set the balances on the multiple cards for your employees.

Alliance and Leicester business credit card offers 57 days of free interest if you pay the statement balance off in full and on time every month.  Alliance and Leicester offer their card through MBNA. If you have dealt with this bank before you know they offer 24 hour customer service support.

To apply for the card you must have your business for two years.  They don’t offer the card to newer businesses as they see these businesses as more of a risk.  Of the information we have supplied to you in this review, there are a few things you may find different with other business cards.  The annual fee as we mentioned is not always necessary to obtain a business card.  If you feel that you won’t use the card enough to support the fee it is an unnecessary charge for you.  The free travel insurance is a great perk, but again there are other business cards that may offer cash back rewards that would be more beneficial.  When you review credit cards for your business, such as we have done here, you need to understand what is important for your business and what is more helpful.
