Bolton Wanderers Card
MBNA has several cards on the market and one of those is the Bolton Wanderers. The Bolton Wanderers is a MasterCard and offers benefits towards tickets, merchandise, and other club benefits related to the Bolton Wanderers. We will get to the rewards points a little later in our review, but for now we will describe some of the other benefits you get with the card.
The Bolton Wanderers credit card offers a zero percent introductory rate on balance transfers. This rate will last for a year. To take advantage of the introductory rate you must be a new customer. You also need to transfer the balance in the first 60 days of the account opening. This doesn’t mean when you activate the card. The period starts as soon as your application has been approved and the terms accepted.
The Bolton Wanderers MasterCard offers zero percent interest for three months on purchases as well. The period starts the same as with the balance transfer, as soon as you open the account. You will discover when you review other cards that these two introductory periods are typical. There are a few cards that offer more than the standard and less than the standard, which makes these first two things about par.
The next feature of this card is the 15.9 percent annual percentage rate. The percentage rate is variable which means it can change as the competitive rates change. This interest rate of 15.9 percent is a little higher than the current standard from other companies, but it is not the highest. On average most cards will be in the 16.9 percent range or higher. To find a card that is lower than the 16.9 percent is very good.
The rewards for the Bolton Wanderers can only be used for things involved with their soccer team, such as tickets or for club benefits. You will earn one reward point for every pound you spend on purchases. The purchases are not limited, which means you can earn points on groceries, petrol, and other items not related to the team.
Other features of this card will be the same. In other words you have 27.9 percent APR’s on cash withdrawals. You also have a 3 percent handling fee for any balance transfers even during the introductory period. The account offers you an online management system so that you can keep up to date with your card purchases, and payment dates. The last thing this card offers is a 56 interest free period when you have paid your balance in full and on time. You usually have to pay your balance off for six months to take advantage of this offer. It will not work as long as you have a balance transfer on the card you are trying to work off.
Overall the Bolton Wanderers card allows you to support your favourite soccer team with benefits for doing so. This card is like most of the other offers on the market except the specific rewards.
