Gold Fish i24
The Gold Fish I24 is just one of the numerous credit cards you will find online. When choosing a credit card it is best to do a comparison to see what cards are the best and read a few reviews of the cards as well. In this article we are going to look at the benefits of the Gold Fish I24 to determine if it is a decent card to have.
- Balance Transfer: Balance transfers are usually offered by credit cards in case you want to switch around some of the credit you have used. Few cards offer an introductory rate on balance transfer, but when they do it can be something that makes it easier to pay off the balance. Gold Fish I24 is one card that offers an interesting balance transfer introductory rate. They have a rate of 5.9%. This rate will last for the life of the balance. There are a few catches though. With a balance transfer there is a handling fee. You also need to make sure you transfer the balance within the first sixty days or less from the date the account was opened. If you wait until after that date or even try to transfer another balance, you will discover the option of 5.9% is not available.
- Purchases: The Gold Fish I24 card doesn’t offer an introductory rate on purchases. They actually charge 57.8 percent annual percentage rate. This is a combination of all the annual percentage rates. In other words the purchase rate, balance transfer rate, and cash withdrawal rate are totalled into the 57.8 percent. This is about par for an interest rate if you use all three of those items. They have a regular purchase rate of 17.9 percent on their card. Terms such as these are confusing and hard to understand, which is a drawback of the card. It is best to be very clear about the terms and conditions of this APR before applying for the card.
- The Gold Fish I24 has a cash back rewards programme. Under this programme you earn 1 percent cash back on travel insurance, access to executive airport lounges, and a few other discounts related to travel. As travel discounts go it is an okay option. Again you have to be concerned about that high interest rate on the card to make sure the benefits are worth it.
There are other cards that offer balance transfer and purchase rate introductions along with travel discounts. After reviewing the information offered about this card, it does warrant a second look to understand the annual percentage rate and other fees. Once those questions are cleared up it is not the best card on the market at the moment, but it is worthy of having for some of the benefits. The life of the balance transfer option is very good because it can take you quite a bit to get rid of a large balance when it is at 15.9 or higher percent.
