Rangers Credit Card

The Rangers MasterCard is one of many that has been designed to support your favourite teams in the UK.  This card doesn’t have any specific rewards for you as the card holder, but it does donate a percentage of what they make to the team.  The percentage is usually very small such as 1 percent of what you spend on purchases.  It you want to show loyalty to your favourite team this is the way to do so.  They do have some discounts on merchandise, tickets, and other options throughout the year that you can either win as prizes or take advantage of when the time arises.  Other than these special surprises the card does have a few interesting options.

The Rangers MasterCard offers you a zero percent interest rate on balance transfers and purchases.  The balance transfers will last for 12 months, but the purchases will only last for three months.  This offer is the same for many of the cards on the market.  It is really nothing special, other than some card issuers are beginning to take these deals away because of the current credit crunch.  This means that the offer may not be around for much longer. It is subject to the card issuers prerogative to offer this deal.  The balance transfers have a fee associated with the paperwork of up to 3 percent.  This is also a standard rate among other cards.  The balance transfer amount will be paid off before any other charges.  In other words if you use the card for purchases you may end up paying interest on that amount if you don’t pay off the balance transfer amount within the first three months.

After the introductory period is over you will be charged a standard variable annual percentage rate of 15.9 percent.  This interest rate is also standard among most of the cards on the market at the moment.  There are a few deals that offer a smaller variable rate, but they have restrictions.  This card will also have restrictions.  You need to be over 18 years of age and have a good credit rating to apply for the 15.9 percent.  The card company does reserve the right to offer a product that fits your risk, meaning they may offer a different card than the one you applied for depending on your income and credit.

As you can see by the benefits there is little difference in other cards on the market.  If you are not interested in the Rangers team then this may not be the card for you.  It serves a purpose of showing loyalty to your team and earning a few perks along the way.  It is by no means the best offer on the market, but it will be a great card for either balance transfers or purchases depending on your needs.  At the moment many UK residents are in need of a card that will help reduce the debt rather than add to it, which makes this a great card.
