Understanding Business Credit Cards

Business credit cards can be an alternative to cash and cheques for a business.  Credit cards are often accepted in a wider range of retail stores and around the world than cash or cheques.  With business credit cards you are able to see where money is being spent with more accuracy, even when you are self employed or a large business owner.

You may find that using credit cards for business is also able to save you money on expenses and administration.  A smaller operation finds that credit cards are useful when trying to separate business expenses with personal transactions.  You can avoid the use of personal charges on business cards as well.

With business cards you can choose how many cards you have for the business account.  For example, if you need a few additional cards because you have employees that will need to use the business account, you get to choose how many cards and the limits.  The business card issues give you control on that part of the account to make it a little easier on you.  They also break down the expenses each month for you to see where things are going.

Business credit cards often have discounts for expenses or air miles offered, so that you can get a little savings while using the card.  The extras may also be travel insurance, warranty extensions, and even anti fraud insurance.

Business credit cards offer low interest rate offers for new card holders.  These are not always associated with an annual fee, but could be.  Once the introductory period is over the standard interest rate will be charged.  The lower interest rates, incentives, and other perks can make these cards very appealing.

MBNA is one company that offers a business card with no annual fee.  This card is offered to a business that has been open for two years.  The introductory rate is 4.9 percent on balance transfers as well as cheques for six months.  The annual percentage rate on purchases is 17.9 percent.  With this card you can earn 57 days of interest free when you pay the balance off in full and on time every month.  There is the option of online account management in which you can view balances, limits, and 13 months of transaction history.

This card offers other helpful benefits.  O2 offers 10 percent discounts on retail advertising for businesses.  DHL allows for 10 percent off online.  Dyno has 15 percent off their standard rates on services.  Google allows 50 pounds for advertising and business leads.  DMSL has a cash back rate for the BT services they provide.  Rawlinson Butler offers 10 percent off legal services.  Reed Learning will give 25 percent off on their classes to help you build a better business.  UOE will offer savings for you on office supplies.  City Sprint with their courier services offers 20 percent off.

Barclaycard also has a range of business cards that may fit your organization.  There are small business cards or large business cards you can apply for.  The cards are Business Corporate, Business Purchasing, and Business Lodge account.  Each of these cards has something to offer you if have a business of your own and want your expenses to be separate from your personal life.  The added cards can help employees get the job done.
